Privacy Policy
PDFtopia processes every document locally in your browser. Nothing you open in a tool is uploaded. This page sets out exactly what the site collects, what it never sees, which third parties are involved, and how you control all of it.
PDFtopia is operated by Emre Polat, an independent developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints, write to hello@pdftopia.com. There is no larger company behind the site, so your message reaches the person who builds and maintains it.
For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, that operator is the data controller for the limited information described on this page.
Every tool on this site runs inside your browser tab. When you select a PDF, a Word file, a spreadsheet, or a presentation, the file is read into your own device memory and processed there. It is not transmitted to PDFtopia, not written to any server, and not retained after the tab closes.
Because the file never reaches us, we cannot read it, recover it, or hand it to anyone else. That holds for the document contents, its file name, and any metadata inside it.
There are no accounts on PDFtopia. We never ask for a name, an email address, or a payment method to use any tool.
The site is served as static files from Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse and denial of service traffic.
These logs are handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy terms and are used for security and delivery only. They are not combined with analytics data and are not used to build a profile of you.
PDFtopia is free and carries advertising to cover its running costs. The relevant disclosures are these:
On your first visit a banner asks whether to accept analytics and advertising cookies. Declining is a real choice, not a delay: every tool works fully without cookies, and the scripts are simply never inserted into the page.
Your answer is stored in your browser local storage. To change it, clear site data for pdftopia.com in your browser settings and answer the banner again on your next visit.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. PDFtopia does not sell personal information.
Because the site holds no accounts and no document data, most requests resolve to analytics and advertising identifiers held by Google. Write to hello@pdftopia.com and we will help you route the request, or use the opt out links above to act immediately.
Analytics and advertising run on your consent. Security logging and the delivery of pages you request run on legitimate interest in operating a functioning, non abused website.
PDFtopia itself retains no document data at all, because it never receives any. Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics default retention. Host logs follow Cloudflare retention. Your cookie and theme preferences remain on your device until you clear them.
PDFtopia is a general purpose document utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will act on it.
If the way data is handled changes in a material way, this page is updated and the date at the top changes before the new practice goes live. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised policy.
